Happy Tuesday! I can't believe it is almost July 4th! June has FLOWN by! July 4th is my second favorite holiday (after Christmas). Growing up July 4th has always been a big deal to me. I love being outside, spending time with my family, eating homemade ice-cream and getting to set off fireworks! It just doesn't get much better than that! We normally have our whole family over, my cousins come down from Kansas and we go buy fireworks and just hang out. It is always a really fun time with everyone! It is so much better getting to set off your own fireworks, rather than going and just watching them somewhere. Doing them yourself is way more exciting! The 4th of July holds some of my favorite childhood memories.
This outfit today was completely inspired by the 4th. I picked up these shorts the other day at Target. I had been wondering what I was going to wear for the 4th and these caught my eye and I knew right away that they would be perfect! They are light and airy, and unlike denim shorts they won't feel like they are sticking to me in the heat. For some reason they only have the white ones online.
If you know me very well, you know how much I love my cowgirl boots. I have had these red ones for probably 4 years now and they are still one of my favorite pairs (out of the 13 pairs I own). I figured the red would be the perfect finishing touch!
