How I Clean my Make Up Brushes

I always use Dawn dish soap to clean my makeup brushes. Dawn is the best at cleaning anything & everything. My sister said that she uses shampoo, which I guess would work as well, but I am sticking with Dawn on this one.

I purchased this Real Techniques makeup brush cleansing palette at Ulta the other day. I had never used on of these before so I was really excited to try it out and see how well it actually worked! I have been very impressed but the quality of every Real Techniques product I had purchased in the past, so I knew it should be good. It made the process so much faster. I used to just clean them by swirling them around with soap in the palm of my hand, which could take a long time depending on how dirty my brushes were. Anyway, this little gem made the process much faster and got my brushes nice and clean!

I start out by pouring some Dawn on the cleansing palette, wetting the brush and then begin rubbing it on the palette. The little different knots are different sizes-the smallest being for smaller brushes, the medium being for medium sized and the large for your bigger brushes...

After I finish cleaning every brush I lay them out on a towel to air dry!

Thanks for reading!
