Hello lovelies!
I haven't really done any posts on "beauty", which is silly because I love makeup! So today I wanted to share with y'all my top current favorites in my makeup bag. I am going to share with you why these are my favorites and where you can find them!
First & Foremost....
Primers
These primers aren't just my "current" faves, they are my "longtime" faves. Some people don't understand why they need a primer. They have obviously never tried it!! When I am asked if a primer is really necessary, my response is always "yes, yes, YES!" I have tried various other primers and I have found these two to be my favorites!
I use this on my face daily! It allows my makeup to go on so smooth and helps it last all day long. Believe me when I say that it is completely worth the money! It lasts so long! All you really need is about a pea sized amount-a little bit goes a long way!
I also use this one daily as well! It keeps my eyeshadow in place and crease free all day long! Sometimes when I am taking my makeup off at night I hate doing it because my eyeshadow still looks so pretty haha. This stuff is the bomb!
Concealers
Benefit Erase Paste // Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer // Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Waterproof Conealer
I am so picky when it comes to concealers. I have tried countless ones and been disappointed many times. These 3 have been winners! They are a bit thicker, which personally, I like because I feel like the thicker ones conceal the best!
I started using the 12 hour waterproof concealer a few years ago and I continue to repurchase. This little stick doesn't last long-which is a downside. BUT it does work really well. I normally use this one to conceal blemishes on my face. It is not one I recommend for under eyes, just because I don't like how it pulls on my skin...
This Erase Paste is a newer purchase, and I love it!! It works so well! I use it under my eyes mostly. It goes on smoother under my eyes than the Maracuja concealer does. I apply it with my middle finger and then blend it will my Real Techniques Complexion Sponge (Which is a life saver!!) I have been using this everyday under my eyes since the day I got it and I have been very impressed with how well it works!
When I first started using the Maracuja Concealer, I was using it to conceal my under eyes, because at the time I purchased it I was looking for an under eye concealer, so I went with this. I wasn't crazy about the consistency of it under my eyes; it was too thick and almost cakey looking. I quit using it under my eyes and thats when I got the erase paste... I have ended up using this concealer mostly for the blemishes that I feel like the waterproof stick doesn't cover up as well.
Foundation
I get a lot of questions about what kind of foundation I use... My top 2 foundations that I have ever tried (so far) are these two! I think this is like my third bottle of the Tarte foundation, and I just bought the L'oreal Infallible a couple of weeks ago and I was very surprised at how well it works!
If you are on a budget, this is hands down the best foundation you can buy! I had heard some really good things about it so I figured I might as well go ahead and give it a try (its only $12.99)! And I am loving it! I have been using it almost every day since I bought it! It is very lightweight and goes on very smooth and last all day long! It also gives my skin a dewy glow, which I really love about it! Honestly, it works just about as well as my Tarte foundation, its just not as thick!
Okay, I have tried many foundations in my day, and this one is by far the best foundation I have ever used. It is a full coverage foundation, which I really like. It is thick (I know some girls don't like the thicker foundations) but it has worked really well for me! It lasts all day-and still looks great by the end of the day!
Brows
I love love LOVE this brow mousse! It literally stays in place all day and doesn't fade or rub off during the day. The brush allows for precise application. They have 5 different shades so you can find the perfect one for you!
Lashes
These 3 lash products will give you the best lashes ever! I start off with the L'oreal Double Extend to help lengthen and thicken my lashes before I apply my mascara. Of course I love my Better Than Sex mascara, for big & bold lashes! I also have found that the Mega Plush works great as well!
I have naturally long lashes already, but with L'oreal Lash Extend combined with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, my lashes are on another level! I LOVE the L'oreal Lash Extend because it helps thicken and lengthen before I put on my mascara. I don't use the mascara that comes with the L'oreal Lash Extend because I don't think it works very well. But combined with the Better Than Sex mascara...works like a dream!
Contour
This is a perfect palette if you are just starting to try out contouring! It comes with a guide, which is super helpful!
I mainly use Steps 1-3 and the highlight. I mix steps 1 & 2 together and apply it under my eyes, the tops of my cheek bones and on my nose and chin with the smaller end of the brush. I don't like the blush included in this palette. I just don't feel like it is a good shade for me. I am really happy I decided to get the brush as well. The palette and brush come separate. The brush is worth buying and is great quality!
Eye Shadows
I use these every day! The Naked 2 palette is perfect for everyday use because it has many neutral shades that work great for day time. The Naked Smoky palette is good for creating the heavier/darker looks. I love both of these palettes and highly recommend them! They also last a really long time!
Lipstick
L'oreal Lipsticks:
This one is an easy to wear, pretty and has some shimmer to it! I love it for Spring!
All time favorite nude lipstick right here!! Can't go wrong with this one.
This one is so bright and pretty! Couldn't be a more perfect lipstick shade for Spring and Summer.
This one is more pink than nude, I think. I really like it a lot, and it is a great day time/ everyday shade.
All of these have quickly become my favorites! They are all perfect shades for this season!
Thanks so much for reading!!
Have a great weekend!
XOXO,
London
